I love that Arabian angelfish.
The blue angelfish in the video is the Yellowbar Angelfish, Pomacanthus maculosus. the Arabian Angelfish, Pomacanthus asfur, is much darker blue and the contrasting yellow mark goes all the way to the dorsal area.

@GDHLEWIS are there any nudibranchs on this barge?

There can be when the waters are lower than 30C. We had loads this year but never had he camera with me at the time, something planned for later in the year. I must admit to being horrific spotting them. Should start seeing them again in November time

Corrected, thank you!

So went for a cheeky night dive last Wednesday. Defiantly getting toasty out there with water temps in the 30s now. No Jellys just yet but have a feeling they are coming soon. Ow well will make the most of them being late whilst we can

Vis is never good this time of year, ague blooms and all that

So went for a solid 2 hours dive on two reefs GMC and Pete's Barge yesturday. Summer temps are getting very high so was surprised to see an abundance of life, even very large schools (towards the end of the video). Water temps are hitting mid 30s now. Thankfully the JEllys have yet to arrive for the season so taking that little win whilst I can.

Our local BSAC club Doha Sub Aqua Club has recently updated its website adding information to a few of local dive sites and wrecks, if your new to Qatar, visiting or looking at moving then drop by.
