Yikes! I'll make sure to pack light when flying Qatar!
It’s not just Qatar. Flew from the UK to Jakarta with Singapore Airlines and it was 800 GBP for 24kg at check in (2007). 2/3 the price of the return ticket. The one that really took the biscuit was Manila to Heathrow with Emirates, 1600 USD for 20kg (2013). These were all work trips that they booked, so no cost to me but still frustrating.Yikes! I'll make sure to pack light when flying Qatar!

Online they wouldn't let you add another bag because the last flight wasn't operated by Qatar
