I like a mask with a purge valve when I'm just cruisin' along, enjoying myself and don't want to be bothered with changing my orientation to clear my mask. A purge valve allows me to keep cruisin' and just blow the water out through the purge. Other times, when I'm all over the place, going up, down, over, around and through, and it doesn't matter, I dive a non-purge mask. I like both and div both. I'm not a mask snob, ya see!
