PST does not do any interior treatment that I am aware of. The interior treatment is very stable, it compares to "Parkerizing". We did independent lab to ensure no particles or hazardous conditions would be encountered. Faber does a similar process but in side by side "desktop testing" we found our product seemed to out perform other samples (no product will stop rust indefinitely-just slow it down)
 
I have 2 fabers and the 72 is -11 lbs boyant full. It has a gouge from falling on sharp rocks. The dive store owner says it wont rust thru in a lifetime.
