OMS Slipstream and Mares Quatros..are two to consider. Jets are heavy, Turtles are nice. The OMS are light and the blade is wide. So you can perform an array of finning techniques. Split fins do not perform well when doing the frog kicks. I base that opinion on a trail I did...looking for new fins...

The Quatros are longer ad perform well especially in current and when moving alot of gear. As are the Turtles, Jets and OMS Slipstreams.

Try if you can...

which ever works for you. Is the best.

Power? That a good question.

Jets/Turtles allow give you ninja-like control of yourself in the water. :D (Seriously, I've had someone come up to me after a dive and say, "I HATE YOU!" because of the ease with which I could just flick a fin to pivot in any direction. I sold a pair of fins that day. :D)

Splits, on the other hand, are great when you want sustained speed. On my list of diving attributes, "fast" is somewhere down around "color-coordinated" and "spells well on a dive slate". It's just irrelevant to the diving I do.

Now, where does "power" come in? Well, if you want to be able to do snap turns and pivots, with an emphasis on cruising-style kicks (like the frog), being able to put your whole body into the fin (when you want to) is a Jet concept of power. If, on the other hand, you're in open water where speed is more important than acceleration or where you don't have as much gear to induce drag, you'll likely be in the splits concept of power.
