Going out on a limb here, but I am posting the Cliffs Notes version of what I hope & expect to see on this new forum.

-I hope to see posts where you would say the same thing face-to-face with whomever you are talking to, or about. Hiding behind a keyboard and spouting off is so unbecoming.

-If it is worth saying it is worth spelling correctly.

-If your biography is not up to date & I cannot tell who you are and what your experience is I tend to ignore what you have to say; unless it is rude, then I will likely delete it.

-As a moderator on here I will be very unlikely to "moderate". However if posts become uncivil and/or unproductive in my opinion I will delete them.

-We have a chance here, just a chance for productive discussions and I will do my part to be productive as well as civil and to assist the owners in keeping it that way.

Jim has some good ideas for expectations from the user base. To be fair I'm going to add some thoughts on what you can expect from the Moderators.

-We are here as users first and foremost. This includes participating and having fun.

-Less is more. I expect us to do more "housekeeping" than moderating. (i.e. moving threads, splitting topics, etc.)

-I prefer individual issues to be handled in private via PM whenever possible.

-I expect "transparency" from the Mod staff. On any major action we will either send a PM to the affected user or make a general Mod Post.

-Short off topic digressions/hijacks/chat are normal. Excessive ones will get split off to a new thread as necessary.

-We will avoid moderating threads we are participants in as much as possible, to avoid bias.

-Questions or comments on a decision are welcomed in the Feedback area and will be considered, but final decision still rests with the Mods.

-Updates will be added as necessary.
