Question Ponce De Leon Park Now Allows SCUBA Diving?

Hello. I saw a video on YouTube that says any recreational diving not just instruction is now allowed at the spring in ponce de Leon FL. Last time I was there, the ranger seemed a bit irritated when I asked, if it was allowed.

Anyone have an official word on this?

From the state parks website:

Only instructional diving is permitted, taught by a certified and insured instructor holding a current Florida State Parks dive permit.

Recreational diving is not allowed. Free-diving into the spring cave is not permitted.
All artifacts in the spring are protected by state law and must not be disturbed or collected.
The use of metal detectors, magnetometers or other metal-detecting devices is prohibited in the park.

Too bad as it would be a good place for some equipment tryouts

Yes. I saw that too, but it seems to conflict with what the video was saying.
