Yes Yes alright everybody keep adding in your advice , ideas and feedback. It takes awhile, but when you read through the entire post we can see that a lot of people have never dove or even seen Force Fins. Take your time find everything you can about Force Fins or any other product before you buy it, like the support of their product, if you drive it off the lot or put it to the test and don't like it what then?
How and where is the product made?
Who uses the product and how do they use it?
How long has it been around?
Dive gear is very personal, but once you are faced with diving conditions where your life depends on your gear you usually stick with the gear that makes a difference. Having the power , speed and accuracy underwater can make the difference between life or death. Scuba is not a race and if you are lucky enough to blow bubbles and take pictures of things that do not move great! I am stoked for you!
I have been in the water working as a professional diver since 1989 and I have been using 3 different models of Force Fin depending on my dive duties.
I hated raw fish ~ until I tried it
I could stand country music ~ until I listened to it
Now I just say well it's different if it is something I have not tried and wait to talk trash or praise until I can honestly say anything about it no matter what the price or how hard it is to get a hold of!
I will be in PERU on March 15th but I would get out to weeki wachee springs for a chance to see a real Fin off with the Force Fin Man himself Fin Doctor Bob Evans , the NETDOC and his doctor.
Force Fin does have a sub forum so I please invite anyone to visit, read and comment more!!!!
ScubaBoard - Force Fin

The buckle broke on my Cressi Rondines just past the surf line on my last OW checkout dive. My instructor lent my his FF Pros.

Dang! What a difference. My legs felt almost like they weren't doing anything and my calves were luxuriating in the lack of stretching. However, I was MOVING through the water like a mad man. Though I wasn't trying very hard, the instructor and DM-candidate (yes, I was the only student. Just got lucky) were having problems keeping up with me.

I bought a pair of FF Pros before I got back into my truck. (Of course, I didn't spend anywhere near $800.)

They look funny and the flopping/snapping feels a bit weird. But they work.

As for the super-premium FFs, why not think of them as the Rolex's of the fin world? Another diver's $3,000 Rolex tells the same time as my $120 St. Moritz, but most people aren't taking up any time complaining that the Rolex company is a joke or that its customers are morons.

So to my previous question, what are the features and benefits of this fin that justify a 4x to 5x price difference with other fins?

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to espouse the virtues of my products, but it has already been said, as meesier42 directed in the Truth About Dive Fins, and elsewhere at forcefin.com

That being said, I am happy to answer any questions you might have thereafter to help you pull the sword out of the stone, but if you aren't willing, you can always plow the fields(tm).

Why quote a question and write a response if you aren't actually going to answer the question?

OMG...my first car cost less than these fins.
My first car cost less than that too, and less than my regs as well. So we're cheap skates! :D

Actually, my first car cost less than even cheap fins do today, but it was old, it was a long time ago and I make about 20 times what I made back then. Cost of a used car of unknown make, model and condition an unknown number of years ago is irrelevant.

I would get a pair of these fins if I had the money, based on my experience with Force Fins. My first pair (in the picture) was the Pro model. They took some getting used to, but I felt they were a definite improvement over my old Tusas. Then I got my current pair, which are about the same size and shape of my Pros, but made out of the Tan Delta material. Another significant improvement in performance. I'll bet that these fins we're talking about (I forgot the model name) are another step up, and I'd like to try them.

Now, are they worth it? Well, I had a hard time justifying the first pair, and the ones I got now almost broke up my marriage (exaggeration). I mean really, who needs something like this? NOBODY! Face it, diving is a luxury, all of it. Sure, we like to think that we're all working class stiffs, but compared to most people in the world you have to be rich just to consider SCUBA diving. So really it all comes down to choices. Personally, I love my Force Fins, and have no regrets about spending what seemed at the time an insane amount of money.

I thought it was pretty good that somebody brought up watches, because that's the same kind of deal.

And Bob's signature will not wear off, because it's engraved in, duh!

P.S. I also got great customer service from them when I needed a spare part.

Now, if only all you haters would just start buying these things, maybe the price will come down enough so cheapos like me can get some!

sorry, but there is a HUGE difference between a Rolex and a pair of fins. The concept of even having a "rolex's of the fin world" is a joke. I don't care how great these fins are; I don't care if they could make me fly through the water, they are absurd and ridiculous...

are there some independent tests results for these things?

You are so right. I can easily see the difference. It is also apparent that there is a lot less ego in the fins.
