Several people have noted (and recommended?) the Aqualung Mikron. It has both a small first stage (diaphragm - not piston) and small second stage.

A number of people have also mentioned that the smaller diaphragm on the second stage makes it harder to breath. I've read this many times on scubaboard and just accepted it since it sounds logical. With that it mind...

In July I spent a week diving with a couple in Cozumel. They do underwater photography for a living and are in the water a great deal. They work as a team. The lady was very small.

They also are included on new equipment evaluations for their publication - so they get to try out a lot of gear.

The lady got to do an evaluation of the Aqualung Mikron and liked it so much she bought this regulator for herself (nope, they don't get comp'd on the gear - they pay with real $$ so they have to want it).

As the week went on I asked if the Mikron had some weak points - like 'a little more difficult to breath than a standard size second stage'? Nope, 'not at all' was the answer.

She also loved the Miflex hose. Incidentally, I can see from above posts that some might not know that this regulator comes standard with the Miflex hose - Aqualung doesn't refer to it as Miflex, but that's what it is.

Don't recall if she added the popular Seacure mouthpiece (I think that she did not find it necessary to upgrade the mouthpiece).
