Serioulsy????? I actually have that camera, but don't have the housing. I use an Oly 5050 with Ikelite housting and DS-125 strobe for my UW stuff.

You HAD to have had a strobe to get the colors to pop like that...what strobe were you using?

Those DIR divers have a secret.... 21 watt HID lights work VERY well for photography even if that is not what they are intended for! :mooner: And they are like Gangs!

Incredible!

How much editing/tweaking did you do with these shots (if any)?

Ron, funny you mention that. I use my light for that very purpose. I started doing that in California because, unlike a strobe, you can move the light all over. Is that something a lot of photographer's do (not that I claim to be a real photographer)?

Bob, thanks again for the pics. Love the octopus. Right now that is my favorite subject.

No strobe ... just the internal flash (no HID light either ... who needs it in Coz?).

The trick is to pretend you're "hunting wabbits" ... the fish come to you ... :D

The music is what Comcast supplies with their Photo Show program ... I want to figure out how to import some "new" stuff, as it does limit you selecting from the same menu all the time.

Haven't printed any yet ... gotta wait till I get all of Cheng's first and see which one I like the best. Might be one of hers ...

Some ... but editing's like make-up, you gotta go easy or it ends up looking tacky.

I use an older version of PhotoShop Elements (2.0). Mostly I'll crop the pic to where I like it, then "test" the auto color correct. Sometimes it helps, often it doesn't. Sometimes ... especially with shots taken from more than a few inches away, I'll select Color Hue/Saturation and remove some cyan ... that's because I haven't got this White Balance thing all figured out yet. Then I look at Brightness/Contrast levels and play around (carefully!) to see if I can adjust enough to bring out the contrast between the main subject and background a bit.

That's about it ... it's almost a routine. Takes about 10 seconds a shot to get them where I like them.

*Miss' eye's popping out of her head* I seriously need to find time to sit down and practice. :)

Bob, by any chance do you have a Mac? The reason I ask is I can't get my photos to load to the new Elements I bought. Another program, Iphoto, is automatically opening and accepting them. To move them between applications has proved to be a huge PITA.

Oh and yes, I've saw the pics of the GPO's you guys have taken. Very nice indeed.
