The first one has no blurring at all. Did you zoom in on the turtle at all? I don't know what makes the blurring and especially not why on some and not others. Beats me!

Both pictures were taken on the same dive with identical setting. The only difference is the distance to the subject. (I was in aparture priority mode at the time). In fact the turtle was behind me and the jacks were in front of me. I turned around, took the picture of the turtle as he swam by me and disappeared into the middle of the school of jacks. Unfortunately the picture of the turtles with jacks were not so good as I did not get a good angle for the pictures. I then followed my friend into the middle of the school for the first picture.
