But which would you rate better...You live in the Cebu area would you regard
Malapascua better than Maniguin area for big stuff?

I already contacted Thresher Shark divers...they seem nice and an informative web site....Just having problems finding info much info on Maniguin.....I know George from the Atlantis resorts but he says his areas are for small stuff.....thanks for any info.
Sorry, dont know much about Maniguin island, but I found this website that talks about Maniguin, http://www.philippine-travel.co.uk/diving-holidays/maniguin.htm.

Cheers

When you say as good as Palau....for what? Last year I met George in Palau one of the owners of Altantis...When asking him to compare the diving....he said the smaller stuff...is better than Palau...But not for the Medium or large stuff at either of his resorts. Keith who owns Palaudive.com just went to the Philippines and loved it...but again small stuff.

I am currently researching going to the Philippines but the only place I can find for the Pelagics is the Cebu area...if you or anyone else can add to my research...please let me know.

Thanks

Sorry I took so long to get back to you. Palau is terrific for the big stuff but I like to shoot macro a lot too and that is better in the Philippines. There is not much for big stuff in Puerto Galera or Dumaguete where I've been. George is a great guy and he is honest about what you'll see.

Thanks for the info...looks like a liveaboard to get there unless you like a looong boat ride every day.....From what I can find Maniguin Island sounds a lot like Sipadan....which they stated teemed with Pelagics...which I never saw much of... LOL....Thanks again for the link.

If you rate "ease" of getting to the dive site high.....then go to Cebu. When we get our place finished we'll take divers to Maniguin for day trips. Darn, another business opportunity lost!!
