My only diving related pet peeve is getting all worked up...here. Try as I might I still get caught up in things from time to time.

mangos?

really?

I didn't know anyone hated mangos.

Learned something new today. Guess I can quit now.
insidious evil fruit

I wanna dive with you.

I can understand liver, but mangos are one of the best foods ever.

We can dive any time darlin'. But mangos, too sweet and they put them in Everthing here to drink.... eeewwww

I'm with you Tom. Sometimes my work interferes with my diving.
Mangos? One of the greatest fruits there is. Mango Lime pie--yummy!
You can have my share.

Oh come on, you have no excuse:

Haha wow that's a smart dog though.

Okay, can he make one of those for my Great Dane? Apollo will need a slightly bigger tank..

I don't know that I have any real pet peeves when it comes to diving. I do find it a little humorous/odd when you get to a resort and have the good old dive orientation and they tell you about not wearing gloves, this is a marine park, and please don't touch anything. Just look and enjoy. Then..........the first dive you do with them it's their DM's that are poking, prodding, pulling, holding, etc. all kinds of marine life. I'm not saying they are necessarily doing any long term harm or killing anything, and most seem to be pretty careful. But if the rule is suppose to be "don't touch" then don't touch . For some reason I seem to experience this more in Cozumel than any other place but I do see it lots of places.

As far as liver goes. God I love it. Liver smothered in onions is hard to beat.

Pet Peeve: In my drysuit when my bladder fills before my SCUBA tank empties.

No, I don't and won't use a p-valve

On second thought I did think of one pet peeve and it's a situation I see at times on ScubaBoard. It has to deal with a person starting a new thread here and they ask a question that has been discussed before. Now some people will respond in a helpful way and politely tell the poster that this particular link they may find helpful on the topic and post a link to a past thread. But then there are those that will kinda bash the poster and say something like, "This has been discussed a thousand times. You should do a search before posting".

I'm not sure how long ScubaBoard has been around but I'm sure it's been a number of years. And there must be several thousand posts/topics discussed by now. I mean like how many brand new never discussed topics still come along. I'm sure a few but most are probably something that has been discussed or touched on before. So maybe if a person sees a new post and has seen the same thing before they should just move on to the next topic if they don't feel like contributing.

After all, can you really have too many threads about split fins vs paddle fins vs Bob's Force Fins?

Pet peeves -
people that destroy sea life.. my buddy (who also browses here, used to do it.. but doesnt anymore.. good boy!)

New divers aka silt kickers

Large classes (going back to silt kickers)

People who use their arms to dive (I seriously had a habit of doing it till my instructor yanked my reg out of my mouth.. never did it since)

and the biggest pet peeve of them all.. people who are trained in diving, dont dive and think they're the best divers in the world.. I like proving them wrong all the time.

.......

I hate divers with 25-49 dives that think they are all that. Guess what buddy.....you are THAT diver but are just way too arrogant to realize it.

Sounds like maybe you are a maverick as well. Good for you. Something tells me you are not proving anybody wrong.
