My wife goes by Francine, but her real name is Francisca, I buy her tickets under Francisca all the time to match her passport name.

I just took a look at the wad of tickets I have here. None of them have my middle initial as in my passport. In fact the one I have from Manila to Kinta Kinabalu has my name as Denis, not Dennis. Maybe they thought I am French Canadian...;)

he he...maybe they heard about you, Denis

Don't depend on anything or take anything for granted when you are dealing with the employees of a foreign airlines (or any other public employees for that matter) especially in Mexico or Central America. Expect the unexpected. Dot your I's and cross your T's so that you don't give them any reason to cause a problem. Not to be demeaning but I always operate as if I am dealing with children and handle it in that manner.
