I'm a Fish!

Even though I don't "need" anything else, I do occassionally search the internet for a deals on gear, and came across a post from a parent needing assistance from area divers. Apparently this parent lost a camera containing a memory card which contained photographs from her child's first four months. As a fairly new parent, I can understand being upset over the loss. Although I dive the Comal when I can, I live about an hour and a half away and am unable to help. So, here is the posting, in the event anyone may be able to help this person.

On July 3rd I lost a bag of belongings in the Comal River, the exact location was in front of the last public exit for the river. In the bag was a few pieces of clothing and an Olympus Stylus Tough camera. I am interested in retrieving the memory card from the camera. It contained the photos of my son's first 4 months of life, a family reunion and the college graduation.

I was told that a scuba diver may have found my belongings the next morning. If anyone has any information please let me know. No questions ask, all I would like is the memory card returned.

I am pretty unfamiliar with this area, even though I got my MS from Texas State. She is talking about the area by the auditorium where all the students sunbath right? Where there are stairs leading out. I would be willing to come down to San Marcos and look for her items, I just need to know I am in the right area. If it is there I can find it.

Wrong river, they lost the camera etc in the Comal River.

Yep. Figured that out as was checking into it. She said the camera was returned but the guy had erased the mem card. Who knows why. But, she got her stuff back.

Mem cards can be unerased.... don't ask me how I know... think Vegas wedding and fiddling with camera....
