Hi There,

I am looking at any advice, on which paper (brand and model) to use, in order to print my own diving tables from my Inkjet printer and put them on my wrist slate before diving.

laser? <subscribing>.....

I would think you would have to have it laminated. Ink from inkget printers and water just don't play nicely.

This.

We often cut a set of tables (run schedule, bailouts, etc) in GAP then print and laminate them. The machines to do this are not expensive, nor are the supplies needed.

We've got an older version of this machine: Scotch Thermal Laminator by Office Depot

Either 4x6" or business card size laminating pouches work great.

Write in the rain makes waterproof laser printer paper.
Just export from your planner and print the out and add it to your wet notes.
Easy enough to make new custom wet note inserts with it.

If prices in France are at all comparable with those in the US, you should be able to pick up a new laserjet for well under $100 US. I highly recommend the investment if you plan to depend on the printed tables to get you back up safely.

If you print tables on an inkjet and laminate them, I think the tables will become an unreadable mess if the lamination gets even a small leak. You'd need to make sure you have them written out on your wetnotes, but this seems to defeat the purpose.

Things printed via laserjet are much more tolerant of getting damp.

Edit-- I see this, it might do okay with the inkjet and lamination. I'd still advise giving it a torture test first though...

Great exchanges. So I'll definitely have to look at the laser option and thanks for the link James, I'll look at it too. Actually, travelling is a big topic for me, so at the end, I write straight in the slate but if I can find other solutions that would be great. Using a Dive Shop printer can work sometime. By the way, the wrist slate is my main computer while tec diving.
