Panny 7x14 or Oly 9x18 m4/3?

If you get the 7-14mm lens and Zen dome, you need a special zoom ring. Reef Photo has a shim that fits the lens and allows you to use the zoom ring for the original 14-42 lens (not the ring for the type II lens, that's different). I did not see where anybody confirmed this, so I'm just confirming. I suspect some foam tape would also work, but this is more professional. Here's the Reef offering (look for the orange shim):
