I bought some of this "life safety" tape - I'm going to cut out some patterns for my fins (to go with the painted on name and phone).

I used to use nail polish until I began diving in such a way that my fins weren't confused with others.

It may still happen now and again somewhere in the Caribbean but that's rare too as my fins are a bit distinctive. We're that to change, I'd go back to using nail polish.

White paint marker works well. You could also engrave them, or use (duct)tape and write over it with permanent marker.
