For one Kane and I agree.
Brrrrrrr... It's cold in here, did hell just freeze over? :D

It was mainly attitude, not anything he had real trouble with, exept perhaps trouble accepting that he didnt know everything yet. Humility is important, arrogance is dangerous.

I think it is easier for a deep diver to become a cave diver than a cave diver become a deep diver. Cave diving is having the dicipline to follow a few very simple rules. Deep diving is following a lot of very complex rules.

and you never have to launch a bouy in a cave!

This could definately get fun; as I don't think many will agree with you.

Hmm... deep vs. cave. I'll start. When diving deep, all ya really gotta know to get to the surface is "up".

jaydee197:
YES but you must have EXTREMELY proficient bouyancy control.

Only if you want to be able to see :D

(I can see it now - PADI's "Cave Diving" class.....)

Attitude is important in cave diving I think.

In my experience cave divers usually have an easy time in deep dive training because of the good technique that they've developed and usually only take it so they can get a trimix card or something.

for us all the rules always apply in caves because the caves we dive most often are deep.

Besides the technique requirements, cave profiles are usually more complex to plan because of the multilevel nature of caves.

but you're right you don't get much practice shooting a bag in a cave. Well you could but people would laugh especially if you held onto something with your legs while you did it. :zap1:
