Hope to be going soon but am curious as to the exact syllabus.
Swim tests? Same as the DM?
Rescue Senario!
Written test!
Two teaching presentations.

I understand that we will be doing all of these but I am not sure as to the sequence. Not that it makes any difference, just curious so I can have a mental road map of the two days.

Thanks.

I don't know if it's carved in stone, but I believe the typical order is:

SAT

Written exams
Teaching presentations
Pool - swim test- pool teaching

SUN at Open water site

OW teaching-rescue evaluation

Teaching presentations – three: - classroom, confined water, open water.
Written tests – yes, both on standards (open book) and everything else (closed books).
Rescue Scenario – yes.
Swim test – no longer part of IE.

Sequence and presentation assignments are up to the examiners. Be prepared to be flexible.

This from memory; so apologies for any inaccuracies/omissions.

Good luck.

When I did mine:

Saturday:

Introduction/welcome
Standards Exam
Theory Exam
Teaching Assignments
Lunch
Classroom teaching eval
Go to pool
Skills demonstration (they picked 5)
Pool Teaching eval

Sunday:

Go to lake
Rescue Eval
Open Water teaching eval.
Closing ceremony

thanks to all. My course director had said something similar but I was just curious. Now back to Physics
