This is a result of our "everyone else is to blame for me getting hurt because I'm stupid" litigious society.

Is that not the truth of it. I think they should go to a looser pay system here and it would restrict alot of bogus claims from ever happening. When you got nothing to loose and everything to gain people just love to go for broke!
 
DAN is far more forgiving on depth. The Standard Plan covers accidents at planned maximum depths down to 130 ft and the Preferred and Master Plans have no depth limits for coverage.

Yes but DAN will still only cover you for your maximum certified depth....If you exceed this you are not covered...
My DAN insurance covers me to 40 metres but I am only qualified to 30 metres so it only covers me to that depth
