Wow that video was very telling. I was using the Thruster blade style fin but found that I was getting leg cramps especially in my right calf. I then lost one on a quarry dive in the deep depths so I bought a pair of Atomic splits and I no longer get cramping at all. I also noticed that the Atomics are stiffer and a little longer than my brothers Mare's Raptors and I seem to be able to manuever much better than he does. Also noticed that as far as speed goes he was always lagging behind me even though I was using a minnimum effort kick.

I am sure most of the claims of split fin makers are overblown but for my experience with them they are definetly easy on the leg muscles.
