Not all of us can afford CCR's or even SCR's. FOr now, I will stick with my doubles jacked to get another 72 out of them... with no extra bottles to drag around.

Genesis:Run the math for, say, 200 dives on Trimix and see if the OC numbers still make sense..... it starts to look awfully attractive to me to go CCR on that basis alone, ignoring the other advantages (like greatly enhanced decompression curves since you are diving constant PO2.)
The new E series tanks manufatured by Pressed Steel are as I understand it the exact same tanks (material used and wall thickness) as their LP predicessors. They simply recertified them to a higher pressure.
LUBOLD8431:Oh, BELIEVE ME, I know it makes sense. All I am saying is that Gas is relatively cheap, especially if you blend your own. What I cant do right now is cough up $9500 for a CCR and the training all in one lump sum...
Maybe someday in the near future...
For right now, Im not even doin Trimix dives. I am planning on rectifying that situation this coming spring.
