The Scuba Sports Club of New York will hold their fourth annual beach clean–up at Orchard Beach, located in the Bronx, NY. The Orchard Beach Clean–Up / Clam Bake will be open to the public and (certified) scuba divers. Prizes will be awarded for the most trash collected, the most unusual trash found, and many more door prizes for helping with the clean–up.
Contribute to a cleaner New York, by joining TSSC in their continuing efforts to clean the Long Island Sound of debris, and man–made waste. Afterwards celebrate your efforts at the get–together to follow the clean–up! All–day event opens to the public at 10:00 am. After the beach clean–up there will be a clam bake and barbecue until dusk. Be sure to bring your favorite beverages, grilling recipes and any supplies you need for barbecuing.

  • Registration opens at 9am for divers and 10am for beach cleaners
  • Follow the signs to the left side of the Orchard Beach parking lot
  • Transfer trucks will be there to transport the gear of those who are diving
  • Sign up at the registration tables and get gloves and a bag
  • You'll be given a grid map and a clean–up area assignment
  • Divers and beach cleaners will be required to sign a release and register
  • Clean up, and then show your collections to the folks at registration, get a wristband and then join the fun at our clam bake and BBQ
