Option: Scuba Club Cozumel or Hotel Cozumel?

Scuba Club. It's all about the diving. Sure drinks are extra, but you can get what you want at the grocery store across the street (fridge in the room).

Scuba club is my choice. Be there next week. Staying with friends on the island for a week. But planning to do some shore diving at Scuba Club. Try the Coconut cake with Coconut ice cream. Haven't stayed at Hotel Cozumel, but to me more tourist resort. Has the largest swimming pool on the island. Also its across the street, but as its own access to the beach. Scuba Club caters to the divers and love how everything is right there.
