so im thinking if thats the case ill buy one from the internet and save money
now is there any online scuba shops that will with out hassel let me returnit and get a differant size/ ive heard of reall good things about scuba toys but ive nerver bought from them
ythanks all

I understand your dismay. One of the reasons to support your LDS is so you can try on equipment. I'm sure it's difficult to stock all the suits, but needed.

Since they will not, look at ScubaL formerly Triple-L, for a custom made suit -3 mil, 5, or 7 long for less than $100.

I just bought two wetsuits from http://www.divetank.com/ ... one of them didn't fit as we thought it would. I contacted them, received instructions, and exchanged the suit with no problem at all. These folks are great to deal with ...

I too live in Minnesota and am an avid Lake Superior Diver. Dont take this wrong but we have to support our local dive shops or they simply will vanish!!! Look in Duluth they are more than willing to accomadate you.

I've had good experince with Divetank too. You obviously realize the impact of mailorder exchanges and those sorts of delays. Fit is everything so if you can be at a decent dive shop with a 1-2 hour drive I'd consider that time well spent. Asside from that ordering in is the way to go if you can't get reasonable treatment locally.

thank you dandy don i went to the site im going to call them up
thank you again
YVW. I live over an hours drive from any LDS, but still try to buy locally. Without them, the sport will die in areas away from good diving.

Still, if you can't get it locally, then by all means - do what you have to do. I had exactly this problem with my wet suits purchases locally, and I'm a typical Lg-ExLg fellow. Not everyone is typical, and custom fit may be needed....??

Although I personally would not buy a wetsuit online again (simply for fitting reasons - bought one from another dealer and it didn't fit), I've heard good things about Dive Tank. My buddy bought one from there and was able to return and exchange it after he too realized that it wouldn't fit. IMO, however, wetsuits should be purchased from your LDS, simply so you can try them on. Plus, if you are looking for a good way to support your LDS with an occasional purchase, this should be the one.
