Please clarify for me. I know of no such thing as O2 cleaned air. Either the air is O2 compatable (hyperfiltered E) or not. If you blended a mix of 50% deco and used hyp E what is the difference when you provide air with the same hype E in it. If all you pump is hyper E why would you remove the O2 clean sticker from the tank. I understand those shops that do not have hyp E doing this but not the shop supply you reference.

Please excuse for my poor working. A LDS of mine do NOT pump hyper filtered grade E air. Their rec nitrox is generated by membrane system. They can fill EAN without o2 clean tank, but if you use your O2 clean tank there, it will void the status. I don't use them anymore for a different reason.

the shops i use have the hyper-filters. I have 2 tanks that i use for both nitrox & "air". I tend to use an appropriate blend of nitrox for the wreck dives and then have the shop top off whatever is remaining with the hyper-filtered air. if i do that i tend not to label them not being worried about the blend. This is due to the fact that i tend to do more shore dives than wrecks so at less than 30 ft i'm not all that concerned about the PO2 for a dive. I do bleed them before filling for the deeper wrecks though. (I do use a blending app to get an idea what the mix would be before they top it off so if it looks like it'll stay between 28-32 i do label & test the blend after it's mixed)
