Sorry Jeff, I must not have made myself clear. We averaged 40-45 minutes down per dive. They didn't set that limit for us. Sorry I am not as "talented" a diver as you, but that is what we averaged, with a couple of our first dives going beyond 80 feet and spending substantial time there.

If you read what I wrote, instead of reading between the lines, you will have read that I said that they did not set a time limit! We were told that they would like us to ascend at around 500-700 PSI in order to make sure our rest point was satisfied.

I was answering the original poster, If you look at his profile he has over 1000 dives. Someone with that type of expereance probably would consider 40-45 min at 80' an abreiveated dive. Before anyone answers a post look at the profile of the poster. I myself have never been able to stay longer than 45" with Sand Dollar, even thou I had plenty of air left. I have 52 loged dives with them and always have had over 1200 psi at 45" and told the dive was over.

With others I do Air and Computer. I am 5'10 265lbs have done devils throat (130')with an AL80 62 min reached 700psi 4min at 20' then 3 at 15' with a surface of 500 psi. Most 80' dives are 70-75 min.

As you can see Sand Dollar to me is half a dive. I only use them now when 4 of my regular operaters for 1 reason or another can't take me.
