Hey thanks for providing so many detailed photos, whilst not required in this case it is still really appreciated

Thanks again!
It's not hard to add more information than less to help. I also have this beauty that I believe to be a Mk2 that I also can to convert over to DIN. That I have not looked up anything about yet that I plan to use for air tools. It's got one HP port and three LP ports.

yeah I think that’s a MK2.
You might be better off to find an old MK20/25 for air tools just because of the flow rate.
I use my MK20 pretty much just for tire filling and a pneumatic nail gun. I think the MK 25 holds the record for most divers breathing off one reg.
For diving I use my MK5 or my MK2 and or some Conshelfs, and now I’m trying out a Scubagaskets solid stainless piston reg that’s a MK 10 clone.
The MK 20 creeps a bit and I know it's because of the rounded knife edge which probably has lines in it from just a lot of years of use.
And on that MK 2 you have, unless you want to pack it with silicone (SPEC) I’d drill out those ambient holes or do a really nice job with a Dremel and set it up for the open rinsable and breathable method.

Dating this second stage by the SPEC (Silicone Protected Environmental Cap), I would guess it is MK3 from the 80's.
Although versions of MK2 were produced late 60's until the late 70's and then 90's onwards, I don't think the MK2 was in production during the 80's SPEC years.
There is also the similar looking early version of MK200 with SPEC, but it is easily identified by the groove used for the optional SPEC boot.
One way to verify is checking size of piston head, oring for the smaller MK3 piston head head is -019 and the MK2 piston head uses -021.

I always want to use the word chamber instead of cap, intuitively it seems like a better match to the acronym.

Marketing isn't all that impressive, isn't that another term for putting stuff in a pink bag and talking BS to sell it

Yeah I've got a few Beuchats for pumping air, one here, one in the car, one over there, pumped them up so high you can't use plastic blowers with them but still nothing like hooking up 4 compressors or straight off the bottle

The only place for a seven foot hose outside a cave, blowing or air supply for a FFM for sandblasting or painting
