Water temp is 72° year round. Or so they say. Rum helps.. after all the dives are complete of course. ;)

You silly divers and your wetsuits. I scoff in your general direction!!!

Actually, I found a website (http://www.wetsuitwearhouse.com/page/WW/custom-wetsuits/L32) that I'm getting a custom suit made from due to the air temps. The water temps we all know I can handle...its that nasty ol' air that might give me the goose chills.

Tao, I see you're in Savannah. That's my hometown. Thanks for the wetsuit website recommendation.

Yeah, I was glad I found that website, as they do not make many wetsuits for Polar Bears my size... LoL. They have more expensive models, with more/better features, but all I need is a basic suit. I like how you can option to have wrist and ankle zippers installed.

Savannah is a LOVELY city...can't imagine living anywhere else...except for Florida. LoL. I love the history, and the sights. The only problem is the diving. Or lack thereof.

Hi there,
I was thinking about checking out this spring dive. I have never done the springs before and have been chatting with another Savannah person about this.
Do you have to make a reservation if you want to camp? Do you need to bring your own tanks or is there a shop rental there?
If I can get someone to go with I would be very interested in joining ... sounds like fun...
Lynn

Hello Lynn - this will be my 2nd megadive. The first was an AWESOME time. Really didnt know anyone before I got there. No reservations needed. There is a shop rental there - I know they rent tanks but dont know about anything else. Check out their website - Florida Staycation vacation place for scuba diving & Florida ecotourism. Others will be able to tell you more. If you are able to make it, get there early so you are not setting up your tent in the dark. It really is an enjoyable time with some good people. Hope you can make it.

You can rent just about anything dive wise from the shop. They also have air refill, no nitrox though, and tank rentals. I think you can event rent doubles if you need em.

And no need to make reservations. When you stop to pay and fill out paperwork, tell them you are with ScubaBoard at the Turkey Roost. They will know..

thanks for all the replies... I have everything except tanks...
I will definately keep it in mind. I work till 4 so wouldn't get down there till late....
Wish it wasn't same weekend as GA/Fla game... I love college football... and big UGA fan....

Yanno.. Ginnie Springs is Gator territory....
