Is it safe to use a DIN to Yoke adapter made by one maufacturer with a regulator of another brand?

I'm looking for a "DIN to Yoke" adapter for a Mares first stage (the V16). But, I cannot find any dive shops that carry a Mares "DIN to Yoke" adapter. I've seen these Mares web site catalog, so I know they exist. But, no one seems to carry them.

Could I safely use an adapter made by a different manufacturer on a Mares first stage? I am assuming that there would not be a problem because DIN and Yoke are (more or less ... maybe less) universal standards. But, I don't want to take any chances.

Yup. They're all the same. Well, there is some 200DIN regs out there (old Poseidons), but most everything nowadays comes in 300DIN.

the threads... Some use metric, some english, the pitch may vary, etc. etc. Just be sure you dont wreck your first stage!!!

Scuba pro still makes and sells 200 Bar Din first stages. And sells a lot of them. Diveinn.com has them all the time. I'm sure others do to. To me it doesn't make sense to get one but I guess some people have a use for them. Just check it on your reg to make sure. I have an Aqua lung that will work on 300 Bar but not on 200 Bar. So they aren't all the same.

I have a Dive Rite DIN-to-Yoke adapter and the yoke "ridge" that seats up against the K valve O ring is too wide for some valves. Not all, but some.

So you may want to avoid DiveRite.

I guess I'd better say the adapters I've seen have been mostly universal.

200DIN it the rating that all yokes are rated to 300DIN are fro Din to Din connections only

so as Lost Yooper said DIN to Yoke adaptors are pretty universal so you can use one brand with another

FYI, you can buy an insert that fits into a 200DIN valve so you can use a yoke reg. Can't do that with a 300DIN.
