Here is the problem:

As you all know I bought a W31 Compressor. Long story short, the 2nd/3rd stage intercooler assembly was tightened so hard at the moisture seperator that there is a small crack that has developed in the piping right behind the nut that assembles to the moisture seperator. I noticed it because there was a leak behind the moisture seperator when I ran the compressor. Is there an easy fix to fix the steel tubing...w/out having to send it back to Airetex for warranty work. I would rather not have to wait 2 weeks to continue to use my compressor.

Tell me there is some magical sealant stuff in a tube to fix this, and if so where can I get it?

Thanks!

Try JP Weld - it comes in a tube and can be purchased at most automotive parts or hardware stores. Make sure the cracked surface is clean - follow directions on the package - takes about 4 hours to set up - excess can be ground off if necessary with a Dremel Tool. - Good Luck

Try the local Hyd hose shop, they often do hard lines too. With the pressures your dealing with, Id avoid a "patch" that could become a bullet.

Is that a swagelok fitting? Its hard to see but if it is, can't you just cut the end of the tube and replace the fitting.
I was thinking the same thing, may have a place to get a new section done, forget the name, it's across from some archery supply off Nimitz...........

JB Weld (it's good) which you can get at Lowes, Dome Dept, Walmart, auto shops. There is better stuff out there though, but you will pay for it. Try the hydro shop at sand island. They do good work, sell good products and I believe they will braze and hydro the pipe. They do work for the Navy and meet Navy QA so I know they do good work.
