As some of you may know I recently purchased an EagleAir compressor. This is a self contained breathing air trailer complete with a diesel powered generator. John Deer 4024TF270 engine (750hrs), MagnaPlus 286 PSL1701 35KVA Generator powering a 15HP 3ph Marathon 1760rpm motor. This then powers a 2005 Hamworthy 4S25 V34H-AL compressor (1450hrs) to fill four 6000psi ISO cascade cylinders and 3 position fill station.
I purchased this trailer not knowing the extent of the problems. As with used equipment, as-is means cross your fingers and hope for the best. The seller (city maintenance yard mechanic) told me he didn't know what was wrong with it. One thing my brother always told me, "there is nothing a dose of cash won't fix". How much cash I am quickly learning. Let me start with the problems this unit had right off the bat, documented below so I (we) can track it.
1) Shore Power 15' 4/5 SOOW 3ph power cable with Pass & Seymour PS560P9W plug missing. $500 used.
2) Sprecher + Schuh CA7-85-00-12DD 100A contactor with 12v coil smoked. $240 new (discontinued) via Ebay
3) LittleFuse ASQUD3 Time Delay relay $150 used Ebay
4) OMRON MK-2P-S Control Relay $40 new Ebay
5) Eaton E47BMS04 Limit Switch $50 Amazon
5) One each Zero Grade Air and 20ppm CO 17L 240psi calibration bottles for CO monitoring panel
6) Hamworthy oil sensor float swollen and sticking in block bore. $tbd
7) Hamworthy stage 4 delivery valve stuck in head. cost ??$$tbd.
8) Purification filter kit from FilterTech roughly $600
9) Removal of Fire Department stickers from powder coated aluminum trailer skin. $$tbd

These are all the current issues I have found. Other non-issues (for me) is Purification and ISO cylinder qualification. I will likely move these punch items to the bottom of the todo list.
The cord issue I have solved with installation of a new one. The contactor issue along with the time delay relay were two seperate electronic issues I believe forced the compressor to be parked by the city fire department. They had the control relay mechanical activation button zip tied closed because the time delay shutdown relay was fried and would not allow the shutdown power circuit to power the fault circuit. The 3 pole contactor clearly was cooked. Why? Who knows. Motor could be fried (I doubt it). Time will tell. The compressor does turn over easily by hand. So I mechanically activated the contactor to start the motor and that is when I learned the 4th stage was pressuring up the 3rd stage until the 3rd stage OPV popped. This is where I began to need help. Windyairman has now been very helpful with my quest of knowledge and giving me a much better understanding of the inner working of the compressor. He has given me the confidence to tackle the compressor issues. The compressor issue I beleive is not the reason the trailer was parked. I believe the stuck valve is a result of bare metal and cast iron parts being inoperable for 4 years without use. With some tech data in hand and Windyairman on the phone I beleive I am on a path to get this back together and working within specification. I am publishing my information so that if someone else comes across a breathing air trailer from EagleAir or if a Hamworthy 4S25 owner wants to learn what I have learned from Windyairman since I found no information online about Hamworthy or EagleAir. I hope this can be a place for someone else to start their project from . More information to follow

Suction valve was jammed in head. I had to WD-40 it and use a magnet working it up and down to free it. I will soon lap the valve surfaces and re-assemble. Stay tuned.

Be very careful with those rings, they are fragile and don't exist.
On the plus side, you can break a couple and it will still work fine. Break 3 and you will start passing oil.
If you do break one, just move them up and make sure all of the good ones are at the top.
What filters are you buying for $600? Should be less than $300 shipped to you.

600 was the price for gaskets kits and filters. I was just looking at filtertech prices. As for the rings....noted. although windyairman did say they were avalible but expensive. Boss just told me I'm working tomarrow so this will have to wait until Sunday to put it back together.
