Can any of the members comment on the suitability of using Mobil terrestrial-C100 in a breathing air compressor? A friend has purchased a pail to use in his Bauer and I have not been able to find much info online. Just trying to make sure of its suitability before he adds it to his machine.

I find a Moil C-100 Food Grease online, FDA approved for human consumption, not mentioned for breathing. But your friend probably should contact both Mobil and Bauer directly. Mobil will have the specs for the grease and know what it might be used for, but only Bauer will have the specs for their equipment, to make sure the grease is the proper viscosity, etc.

www.AmericanAirworks.com offers a food grade synthetic oil with a high flash point (>550° F) for scuba compressors, should the Mobil not be suitable for dive compressors.
