Everyone I talked to uses minimum 6cf, so I'm not seeing the 3cf useful. I guess I could try it, since it's full of air.

Can you post a pic next to a reg? The reg has got to weigh more!

 I think you're right!

I'll do that this evening . . . it's "cute". :)

...since it's already got a DIN tank valve on it (tech friendly) you could always use it as a Spare-Air if ya ever want to cave dive......just sayin'.

:rofl3: :eek:k:

Im thinking you need to take it on a boat charter with a bunch of open water students. Stand up with your BC on, connect the inflator hose and tuck the tank into the shoulder harness and declare.... "First off... Last on... See ya suckers!" :D

Maybe you could use it to fill your Dan Signal Sausage - hook a little low pressure inflator hose to it. I've seen guys use such a thing - they were from England. Does anyone around here do that?

An answer emerged in another thread, so from that and this thread, basically I have a few options:

  • Use it as an Argon bottle that will fill my suit once and run out of gas
  • Use it as a gag to make people go
  • Use it as a pony (redundant gas) for depths up to 15'
  • Use it to calibrate my O2 analyzer when at home (5000')

:cool3:

I'd still love to see a picture of it. I wasn't aware that Catalina made al3's.
