Everyone, make sure you commit Andy's song to memory. He just PM'd me, he is bringing his guitar, and expects us to be able to sing along with him.

I hope Cathy( Group manager) is doing some sort of deal for the group for helping out. I think sometimes in the past they have given a free pass out or something like that. Everyone who did the cleanup except a couple of employees were cave divers or cave diving instructors. I could not post anything about just how much we picked up on line but we got 6 or 7 canoes full of junk. Mark the owner wanted cave divers since we have double tanks and are used to current. We did the section from the Devils Eye to the end. I recommend that everyone be heavy to help deal with the current. Also I recommend that you wear light gloves so you can hold on to rocks when picking stuff up. We had regular lobster bags and some with metal handles. The metal handles worked best for me. Some people used double enders and clipped the bottom off to the bottom d ring and the top to the top d ring and carried them like stages. I was not very successful doing it that way but some said it worked great. I did find the bags themselves get caught on the rocks so I'd find a bad area and set mine down and bring stuff to them. I also had a friend that used a reef hook on a short line so he hook in and had it clipped off so he had both hands free.
One other think [thing] everybody needs is a least one knife or line cutter. I found monofilament and rope down there that you could get hung on. I did get my dive flag tangled in the rope so bad that I had to untie it to get it free.
JahJahwarrior:So, if I've never done a river dive and infact only have a few dives under my belt, am I going to die on saturday?
really though, how hard will it be to dive in current?
