Go for it. It's not DIR if you're thinking of travelling that road, but those things are universal except for one thing. On the octo, there will be a silver bar going across the part where the corrugated hose attaches. OMS has no pull dump integrated in their hose, Oceanic does. Hope that's not too wordy

I have an Oceanic AIRXS attached to the dump hose on my OMS wing. It works okay, however, I'm thinking about going back to the traditional octopus. I would not recommend using the pull dump feature found on the Oceanic ( and others ), IMO they are an accident waiting to happen.

I would agree that they are an accident waiting to happen. They gasket in the dump asembly frequently gets dislodged and results in a leaky BC. All I was saying before though was that the OMS and Oceanic's don't have the same features as far as pull dumps go.

Thanks for the advice,I've never used that pull dump feature before so I don't think that will be a problem.

You misunderstood. the OMS doesn;t have it. The oceanic's do. That;s why i was saying that you won't have a use for the bar that anchors the cable...

I guess I wasn't very clear. I haven't ever used the dump on the other BCs I have used before. I just got this OMS and haven't been able to dive with it yet. I probably won't for another 6 or 7 months since I'm in Kuwait and now they are telling us that we will be spending a year in country.:(

Wow that sucks. But go ahead with the integrated octo. It should help reducing one more hose.
