I have a bunch of Oceanic stuff including 2 Oceanic Zetas. One's a DX4 first stage, the other is a CDX-5. I love the Zeta for breathability (is that a word?). It's frankly right on the edge of too much. I have used Delta-3/PX2s on occasion, and never had anything but good results. I would rather have a diaphragm first stage however. Both of my Zetas are environmentally sealed first stages since I dive in fairly dirty lake water a lot.

Assuming that you are looking at equivalent price Oceanic and Apeks stuff, I wouldn't expect some night and day difference between the two regs. 'diamonds to apples' may be pushing it a bit...
