I really think we can make an afternoon one tank dive happen with Blue Angel on their big boat.(if the group is big) If not, we can just take out one of their pangas) Do something close by and come back to BA for happy hour- which is 2 for 1 apps and drinks. Who's in?

Just to whet your appetite, November nautilists, yesterday I saw a 5-6 foot hammerhead shark at Punta Sur Sur! He came in atop the reef, gave me the once over and headed on along the wall. Was AMAZING! My first Cozumel tiburon martillo.

We saw 3 young eagle rays on that dive, too, and another big one on Punta Tunich.

Today was the more normal assortment of big green morays, diver-friendly turtles, gregarious groupers, napping nurse sharks - one of who woke and came close enough for a kiss. He was smelling a little lionfish floating near him. I told him it was just behind him, so he turned and sipped it up.

Had a clueless diver (he grew 100 dives overnight...) snap at me today for telling him things he should have already known. However, when he came back out of the entrance of Devils Throat in a panic, he was all too happy for me to babysit him. Good news is: he won't be here in November!

So come on down! The water's fine!

Sallye, I spoke with Kay at Aldora and she's got me down for your boat when I arrive in 2 weeks. Would love to do Punta Sur Sur. I've done the throat a couple of times but I've always wanted to do just the reef there.

Yes... WOW. I was absolutely giddy. Kept spontaneously happy dancing the rest of the dive. And giggling. Been telling everyone - including taxi drivers.
Tonight was the first person I told who was not completely excited. He's not a diver, but when someone explained just how great a treat it was, he got excited, too.

Excellent! Maybe we'll have the advanced boat for Pelagipalooza and do all the WooHoo! sites. That'd be dreamy...

For early-monthers who'll be here Friday, Wet Wendy's is hosting a murder mystery. The rich guy dies between 8 and 8:15 pm. Sounds like it's going to be a blast... And I get to be one of the suspects! I hope I am allowed to tell that.
So come bring your inspector's kit and thinking cap. And if you have your costume, I think there's a costume contest, too.
