I'm planning to spend 11 nights in N Sulawesi next summer, likely splitting my time between KBR and Cocotinos. I imagine the weather, viz, and diving is pretty similar between July and August. Is one or the other month better for any particular reason? Better chances for whales around Bunaken, etc? Right now, I'm leaning toward July simply because it's sooner...lol.

Thanks in advance.

I dont think you will notice any difference, ive been there in July and August and cant recall any huge difference. Go Now :)

Believe me, I considered it...lol. But I figure the trip will run me about $9K (for me and my wife), so, unfortunately, a little advanced planning will be necessary.

Lembeh Resort looks amazing... I was surprised that a place that nice didn't have TV's in any of the rooms though. Hell, I was only able to find three resorts in the entire N Sulawesi area that offered both TV (in room) and internet (The above mentioned and Tasik Ria). I know, I know... What can I say... I like to wind down before bed with a little TV after a long day of diving...lol. Not to mention, my wife has ear issues and usually only dives once per day, so she'll probably be spending a lot more time in the room and at the pool.

You can stay in much cheaper resorts in Lembeh with in room TV.
Simply, just ask the resort to buy TV for you, you pay for it; cost you less than 2 dives for small CRT TV; after that you can give the TV to the resort staff or your guide.

You will love KBR! We were there late August/early September and had great diving and weather!!
