It should be short lived, 1 day port closing (maybe). NNE, N, ENE over 25 KM/hr is a closure for shure. Waves breaking on Melgar is another closure for sure. Port captain in bad mood, well maybe closure.😝

I agree with NDL_Diver that whatever reaches Cozumel is likely to be short lived. The brisk N wind started up here in Austin late yesterday afternoon and continued into the night, but this morning it is dead calm.
 
This front arrived last night, the 9th, in Galveston as the classic Cozumel Norte. At 8 pm short-lived heavy rain, followed by strong North winds. Today at noon it is still blowing but is expected to decrease by 3pm. And yes, it does appear the Coz should have a short Norte event.

Here comes the next one.
After this last weekends multiple incidents including fatalities I suspect the authorities will become more aggressive on port closures and enforcement.
