hmmm teen medreps? hehe yup! barbie's a doll alright :eyebrow: (she's a DM for windnwave, or used to be i guess)

quick question (OT): what do you guys think I should get for the backplate, s/s or aluminum? heard a few comments that the s/s were too heavy for wetsuits, but others would say it gives the best trim, plus you don't have to carry alot of weight on your hips, especially in salt water right?

teen college students.
is barbie pinay? will complain since i was assigned a big guy named July. so where did barbie transfer to?

fingerlingoh oh... I want one of 'em brokeback moments too... :eyebrow:[/QUOTE:
have you been doing your training at Atlantis in PG? Ask Matt for the White Beach special.... :blinking:

james, July doesn't sound that bad at all :eyebrow: yup Barbie's pinay, she's moving to the states or something

guys,

my choices would be:

a) aluminum bp with ditchable weights, which has more allowance to trim my bouyancy, and God forbid, one's that I can ditch, lets say when I have trouble maintaining bouyancy at the surface i.e. bladder probs etc...

b) ss bp w/o (possibly) ditchable weights, which could sink me like a rock, incase a bladder problem does occur... worst case scenarios without losing a rig?

how negative are SS plates? Anyone know? i have no clue, but they can't be that heavy

Finger, remember if its only 8 pounds negative it won't sink you like a rock, your suit is buoyant and you only need just enough weight to offset the buoyancy of the suit.

you shouldn't have any trouble staying at the surface without air in your BC..

go with a) but ditch the ditchable weights (if you're talking about integrated weight pouches)... just use a cheap weight belt.
