Recently pick up a Bauer Junior 2. I like to hook this up to my home (outdoors)
I have a few questions- I need an outlet plug, do I have a single phase or 3 phase unit? Will it work with my 240v dryer outlet?
It was made in 1999 when I do an oil change do I need to stick with mineral type oil or can I use synthetic? I read some where that the 225 Bar version can be adjusted up to 5000psi. Is this something anyone can do or does it need to be done at Bauer?
TIA! for any information to get me started.

I’m picking up this later today. The compressor won’t see heavy use. Will be using it to top off 88cuft SCBA tanks from 2000psi to 4500psi.

Heavy use doesn't really matter, when wiring in something.
It has to meet rated spec's +

In my experience 3hp electric should do it. But you will be using max amperage to the moter at High pressure,

my 3hp gas engine really struggled a 3000 psi, 3500psi forget it.

Electric has better torque so a 3 hp should be fine, depending on the pulley sizing and compressor speeds

There is a big difference pumping 2200-4500 psi vs. 500- 3000 psi
Current, hp, heat, goes up like crazy

Gotcha! Thanks!

50 Amp welder plug, don't know why they aren't standard at the electric panel. You can even buy a proper extension cord, a bit expensive but it to code.

So I’m in the process of making an adapter.
I also maybe be able to get a Honda GX200 engine. Anyone know if it will fit and work?

Buddy

You have the base, look and see if the slots are in the base that match small engine mounts.
If not you need to drill holes and slot it.

Without pictures it's kinda hard to tell
