I'm a GIRL!
Is there a way to clip the SL50 light to the D-ring on the BC? I can't see if there is any attachment point on the back.

Short answer is yes, there is an attachment point on the back. I have a picture in the other thread.
*Nocturnal Lights question

Metalsub USA:By looking at the specs of the SLX LED dive light, 4 hour burn time, 5500° K, and six AA batteries, I would have to say it most likely uses three 1 Watt Luxeon LEDs. a single 1 Watt Luxeon LED puts out at best 50 Lumens per watt and other types of 1 Watt Luxeons only put out 25 lumens per watt.
Therefore, at best the Nocturnal SLX LED dive light at 150 Lumens has about one-third the light output of a 10 watt HID (450 Lumens), if it uses the 25 Lumen 1 watt Luxeon LED then it has less then one-fifth the output of a 10 watt HID.
The Metalsub XL7.2 with our 15 watt LED head uses five 3 watt Luxeon Star LED putting out 87.4 Lumens per LED. The 15 watt Metalsub LED has a light output of 437 Lumens at 5500° K, which is almost equal to a 10 watt HID.

NLI Tim:Hell guys,
Sorry about the late response. Sometimes Scubaboard doesn't send me an email notification or the emails may be filtered out by the email servers... anyhow, thanks for posting the pictures and help answer each other's questions, I really appreciate it.
There's who holes on the handle for the SL50, so you're welcome to tie any clips or retractable lanyards on to it. The TL series lights all come with clips that you can clip onto the BC's D'rings or you can mount it on the tank strap or weight belt.
ShoalDiverSA:Chad,
While it is clear that you have an exceptionally high quality product, I feel that your head-to-head comparisons with your competitors are a bit too aggressive for this type of forum. Particularly considering that this thread is focussed on your competitor.
I am not saying that I don't think that you should punt your product on Scubaboard. Quite the contrary - one of the best aspects of this Board is that we have direct access to manufacturers and distributors of equipment. However, there is a time for saying something in a thread and some stuff is just better left to the PM or email system.
This is my opinion and it does not cost $599.90, so take it or leave it.
Having said all that, I really wish that I could afford a Metalsub system.![]()
Cheers,
Andrew
