I feel like MOB is a more securely stored position for a mask, than MOF, which is why I do it.

With that said I was out in the water with a ^*&%$#@ snorkel the other day and lifted my mask up to see and chat with our local coastal life guards. Since I had a snorkel I went MOF and chatted with them for a few minutes. You know what? They never jumped in the water and came to rescue me :confused: Heck they didn't even ask me if I was okay? I guess MOF has passed into the realm of internet board lore.

Peter with a snorkel :confused::confused:
And no pictures of it?

Jus cant get past the kid in the mall with the cap
walking on his pants, with his shorts hanging out.

Reading this thread made me think of this ... wouldn't it be great if there was a way to keep the sun out of your eyes? ;)

I try to get past that kid as quickly as possible ... so I don't have to look at him ...

There's also:

MOBOS(skull),or
MOBOB(brain or backwards),but around here
MOBOH would probably the more popular acronym.

I always try to keep up on the latest fashion trends in scuba and I've noticed for some time now people wearing their masks backwards on their heads between dives.
Between dives? Like, on the boat? Wow, I'm definitely not that cool. Then again, I only recently abandoned my pleated khakis. I go MOTV on the boat: mask on tank valve. I know, I know...a rogue wave could sweep it overboard. There really is no safe place, is there? :shakehead:

Because MOB makes for funnier photos. Here is my buddy last weekend :)

I'm astonished Halemano has not been here yet to defend his maskstrap. I had a buddy that had his MOTWFW, mask on the wrong fing way, when we did a easy dive on Mercer Island. finns on and no mask, it was early morning night dive. went up and got my other mask for him.

After the dive he had a bad attitude about loosing his mask, he has lost many before and he knew he solved it with MOTWFW. As we walked to my truck, his mask was between tank and BC, I just listen to him ranting, and decided to let him find it. When he took off his BC mask dropped to ground and he put tank on top of it and it busted, now I really was not gonna let on I knew about it.

Happy Diving
