Nitrox - What do you dive PO2 - 1.4, 1.5 or 1.6?

Switching to Nitrox doesn't make a lot of sense UNTIL your dives are being limited by no-deco time, and not gas. I say that even as a GUE diver, who uses Nitrox for all diving. We do it to standardize, so everybody's "NDLs" are the same -- but if you have a diver whose gas supply is going to limit the dive, that will be the outside parameter anyway.
 
So then in general for those dives that are deeper and with a reasonable RMV - deeper than 80 or 90 feet seems appropriate for Nitrox?
So 28% to 36% Nitrox should be the bulk of my diving.

And for Recreational dives always keep your PO2 under 1.4 unless you have a good reason to go to 1.5 or are on Deco (which I wont be)?
Is that a fair statement?
 
Well, don't forget repetitive dives. NDL time will eventually approach or cross available gas time for repetitive dives, even at shallower depths.
 
Unless you're using a rebreather, the PO2 of the gas you're breathing will vary considerably with depth. In this context, the standard PO2 of 1.4 is intended to allow for multiple dives over multiple days without causing CNS or pulmonary toxicity, provided that you pay attention to your surface intervals. If you look at the tables or calculations for 4 dives a day with a minimum of one hour SI, you'll see that it's difficult to get toxic.
