Thanks for the July schedule. I'm going to try and make either the Wed or Thursday dive. Any need to sign up in advance?

Hey,
While it is helpful there is no need to sign up in advanced.
It is a good idea to sign up in advanced if anyone needs equipment so we can have it ready for you when you get to the shop.
I am going to be diving anyways with the Night dive specialty class so the dives will be going.
We are meeting earlier becuase of the nav specialty that is being conducted at the same time, but I am going to have one of the DM's waiting at the shop to lead you out the dive site we are using that day.

I've got all my own gear, so I won't need to rent or sign up. Hopefully, I'll see you nite diving on one of the dates I mentioned.

Roger that. The additional info was mainly for anyone else following the thread.
See you at the dives

Unfortunately, I just realized that all three of those dates are work nights and I tried, but failed to get them off(minimum staffing levels, ugh). So, I'll have to wait until August.

LobstaMan

Ok.
The new NDM schedule for August will be out by the end of next week.

One last reminder for night dive madness this week:
Tonight (tuesday) Tomorrow (wednesday) and The night after (thursday)
NDM will be meeting at Newport Diving Center around 6:00pm and heading to the dive site of the day around 7:00pm

hope to see you there.

Last nights dives (25 July) were very good.
We dove at FT Adams entering at the stone pebble beach by the Brownstone Wall.
Dive 1 was to 45 feet for 36 minutes. Water temp was 68.
Saw lots of Scup, Tautog, flats, skates and a lone squid.
Dive 2 was to 45 feet for 26 minutes.
Saw lots of little Lobster, Rock Crabs, Scup and a few flat fish.
The Bio-lum from Ball jellies was pretty good.

Hit the dives right before slack high so on dive one we worked ourselves to the east along the shore line and west on dive 2. We covered a good bit of Ground but were not successful in finding the telephone booth on dive 2.

Sorry, I missed it ..see you in August I hope!
