Right---Maybe MittenDiver can fit a 52" flat screen in his trailer, hook up to a generator, and watch the show around the campfire:D:popcorn:

Frankly Denny, I'm disgusted and disappointed that you would chose financial gain above diving with your bestests of friends in an Ohio quarry on January first. :lotsalove:

Ya know, I actually put the client on hold when she asked me about the NYD wedding, telling her I would check my calendar, knowing full well I wanted to go diving. It was a real struggle for about 60 sec. trying to decide if I wanted to forfeit the 1K+ to go diving. Let's see---1K or diving with my "bestests of friends"---Well, you guys were in the running for about 30 of those 60 sec. All my diving wants flashed before my eyes in the last 30 sec., so I told the client I was free that day to do her wedding, albeit, with much sadness and disappoint. :(

Speaking from experience.. Take it easy for at LEAST 3 days. I felt pretty good after a day and a half so I resumed my normal routine. I paid the price... so really, take it easy for 3 or 4 days. More if you can. :)

yeah, i have to do an ice diving class (classroom only luckily) on 1-3 and am hoping that by 1-12 im good to go for the water portion. I wont be doing much of anything for the first week to make sure im good for the 12th.

The Christmas present dry suit is in, out to lunch on the fit however. Ber is helping me through it. If it fits it may be a first ever dry suit dive for 2008. The girl has even given me the green light to dive it :)

"The girl" being his girlfriend LOL! This should be interesting :D

Hubby and I are still on for at least one dive :D
Ber :lilbunny:

What's a nice girl like you doing in a place like this? :D

As long as Ber doesn't kill or maim me between now and January 1, I'll make it. Odds are on the maiming because she'll prefer to make me suffer for awhile. :D

To those of you considering this solution I would like to point out the fact that although the defroster will solve the wet/cold glove problem ... It will create yet another called "Stinky Neoprene Car Scent". Although a great solution in a pinch I encourage those reading this to weigh the consequence before making it a habit.

Cheers!

-Adam-

The obvious solution is a communal witch's cauldron and a [very big] can of sterno!

I as well as a couple buddies of mine will also be attending. Trying to talk to wife into going but so far it looks like a no go. Also debating on whether or not to take the Camper or not to warm up between dives.
I am also tempted to leave for Gilboa New Years eve so that I can be under the water at the stroke of midnight.

Hope to see you all there

Matt
