Looks like you got a serviceable set of fins for a very reasonable price. I like paddle fins in general for students, because they really work as stabilizers in the water, while folks are learning to keep their balance with their gear on. I think you'll be pleased with them.

That's really good to know... anything that makes life easier while learning is a major plus in my opinion.
