Most folks don’t use a regulator? Nuvair put together a parts list for me an included this regulator. Seems a regulator would be nice but idk that it’s $500 nice.

Nuvair is nice but very expensive. For a regulator I would buy used before I buy new.

No, most people have to babysit their tanks and watch the gauge. For me personally I have to manually bleed the coalescers so I'm there anyway.

I think August is very fair in pricing, maybe just a hair high, but everything in one place. If I was you I wouldn't buy anything until you met with the compressor tech. Maybe you need whips, but outside of that I don't think you need anything else for the time being.

More pics of your setup would help.

From what I can see it's pretty sweet. What is the rated cfm?

I would get a whip to fill and the right oil. Get the electrical connected, that way when that technician comes you can try filling a tank. Other than that I think you're set.

You'll probably change the filters anyway, but don't leave them exposed to ambiant air. They will absorb moisture and deplete themselves. I leave my filter housing under pressure to save them. I'll bleed it down to about 2000psi when I'm done for the day. My PMV is set at 2200 or so.

Well shoot. There is a strip in the housing that says it turns colors when depleted. Per the strip the filters are still ok. Unfortunately I left them uncovered because there was moisture in the aluminum housings. The compressor is 35 mins away and I’m heading out for a week trip. Hopefully I can find the time.

It’s 14CFM @ 6000psi.

Can you tell if this is my PMV? It’s described as back pressure regulator. Seems it might be the same thing just different terminology. pic attached, link below.
